The Clinical Operations Director, Occupational Health (OH COD) is responsible for supporting the delivery of patient safety, clinical quality, provider management & support, and clinical governance in a designated book of business.  The OH COD builds relationships with site providers and site leaders and acts as their point of contact for any clinical or clinical operations questions related to occupational health services.  They drive the achievement of designated clinical and clinical operations priorities and support the National Medical Director, Occupational Health (NMD OH) and Regional Medical Directors (RMDs) with provider management.


This is a full time, remote Clinical Operations Director - Occupational Health role.


What You'll Do

Leads site providers by interviewing provider candidates and collaborating with operations on hiring decisions and participates in on-boarding of new providers

Drives clinical outcomes and supports site teams on delivery of PG measures and clinical metrics

Performs proactive auditing & evaluation of site occupational health services and supports the development & execution of action plans

Partners with the NMD OH and Product in the execution of provider support programming such as mentoring calls, Occ Health RCL calls, and developing special subject-area content

Directs providers and health center leaders in matters related to clinical operations and regulatory compliance

Assists operations leaders and HR Business Partner with the preparation of formal and informal performance reviews and improvement plans, to include conducting chart reviews

Facilitates and navigates licensed field team member performance/disciplinary issues as needed (clinical, professional, and regulatory scope issues)

Assists site and operations leaders by reviewing and approving site-specific procedures

Assists site, operations, and medical operations team members with investigation of occurrence report (OR) root causes and mitigation plans, and reports of member dissatisfaction

Solves complex problems effectively with an emphasis on developing proactive, productive approaches utilizing internal support functions.

Provides guidance to health center operations, and regional clinical leaders for issues related to clinical programming and operational processes/optimization

Resource for interpretation of clinical data for client presentations

Resource for the appropriate selection of client PGs


What You'll Bring

Licensed as an advanced practice provider (NP or PA)

Bachelor of Science required, Masters or Doctorate preferred

COHN or COHN-S preferred if nursing; additional occupational health training if other licensed healthcare provider, preferred

CAOHC certification/director, preferred

10+ years of relevant work experience

5+ years’ experience in an occupational health practice

3+ years’ experience in a leadership or management role

Prior experience in an on-site health center preferred

Experience working in a virtual environment preferred

Working knowledge of regulatory requirements, standards, and guidelines (OSHA, DOT, etc.), worker’s comp, hearing conservation, drug & alcohol testing, and workplace safety

Ability to create process flows to improve efficiency and adherence to corporate policies and government regulations

Functional use of Microsoft Office Suite and web-based programs, Electronic Medical Record (EMR), preferred

Premise provides its reasonable and genuinely expected range of compensation for this job of $150,000.00 - $180,000.00 annually. A number of factors will influence the rate offered for this position, including your experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other factors. This position is eligible for an Annual Performance Incentive that is a percentage of base salary and awarded based upon individual annual evaluation and company financial performance.


For individuals living in Washington or Colorado: Premise offers the following paid time off benefits. Employees will be included in the company's Open Time Off plan and will receive 10 paid holidays or an equivalent bank of hours aligned to schedule throughout the calendar year. Paid sick leave is satisfied by the paid time off accrual, detailed above.
