About the role:
The Director of Regulatory & Provider Dispensing Support is responsible for supporting the delivery of high-quality clinical care through the development and upkeep of current scope of practice and regulatory data, as advised by the Legal department. This role ensures clinical workflows, policies, and procedures comply with state and federal regulations and partners with our regional support teams to confirm understanding and compliance at the site level. This role works closely with the Pharmacy Operations department to ensure clinical provider dispensing of pharmaceuticals comply with state requirements and Premise Health policies & procedures.
Job Requirements:
•Content owner for all scope of practice and provider dispensing policies, procedures, and workflows. Develops, reviews, and updates policies, procedures, and workflows to ensure compliance with current regulations and accreditation standards.
•Performs regulatory research related to scope of practice and provider dispensing for healthcare professionals and cooperates with Legal and Senior Medical Operations Leadership (SMOL) regarding reg research findings and communicates Legal interpretation to all stakeholders.
•Advises the Regional Clinical Leadership (RCL) team regarding regulatory concerns related to scope of practice and provider dispensing.
•Maintains shared repository for scope of practice, provider dispensing, and legal interpretation.
•Consults with other departments and teams to include Pharmacy Operations, Implementations, Medical Operations and Operations regarding scope of practice, provider dispensing, and state and federal regulations.
•Participates in Pharmacy & Therapeutics (P&T) committee to support provider dispensing and regulatory requirements.
•Develop, implement, and maintain compliance monitoring processes for provider dispensing activities.
•Support the investigation and root cause analysis of occurrence reports.
Education:
•Bachelor’s degree required
•Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Master of Physician Assistant Studies (MPAS) preferred
•Certification and licensure as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) required
Experience:
•5 years of developing content for policy/procedures
•5 years of people leadership experience
•Work in the onsite care model preferred
•Experience with provider dispensing preferred
•Experience in scope of practice regulations research preferred
•Experience in legal nurse consulting preferred
Knowledge and Skills:
•People leadership skills, including setting clear goals and expectations, providing coaching, promoting collaboration, recognizing achievement, fostering professional development, and maintaining a positive team culture aligned with the culture of Premise Health.
•Demonstrates knowledge of healthcare regulatory requirements (Federal, State, OSHA, CLIA, HIPAA; also NCQA and AAAHC, State Professional Scope of Practice)
•Epic proficiency preferred
•Computer skills: proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel and PowerPoint.
•Strong organizational, prioritizing and analytical skills.
•Knowledge regarding risk management and avoidance, variance reporting, data & trend analysis and report preparation.
•Ability to apply concepts of process improvement to drive efficiency and compliance.

While a number of factors influence salary, our estimated California, Colorado, Washington, and New York compensation is $140,000 - $175,000.
