The Solutions Architect develops comprehensive solution architectures that address business requirements and align with organizational goals. This critical role requires a blend of technical expertise, strategic thinking, and excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with stakeholders and ensure the successful delivery of projects.
Through a deep understanding of technology, business drivers, objectives, outcomes, capabilities, value-streams, and process development, the Solutions Architect provides leadership, analysis and design/engineering expertise supporting the development of solutions which meet organizational requirements and align with Premise Health architectural governance and standards. The Solutions Architect creates architectural artifacts critical for the selection, implementation, and ongoing management of the organization’s solution portfolio.
This is a Full Time, remote, IT Solutions Architect role.
What You'll Do
•Design and Architecture: Develop comprehensive solution architectures that address business requirements and align with organizational goals. Ensure solutions are scalable, secure, cost-effective, and align with enterprise standards.
•Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with Enterprise Architecture, business leaders, project managers, and technical teams to gather requirements, define project scope, and ensure alignment with business objectives and architecture governance.
•Technical Leadership: Provide technical guidance and leadership throughout the project lifecycle, from concept to implementation. Mentor and support development teams in best practices and technical challenges. Facilitate in-process gate/maturity reviews and governance reporting as needed.
•Solution Delivery: Orchestrate solution delivery by working with project managers, Enterprise & Domain architects, and technical SMEs to ensure that plans are executed in alignment with the solution requirements and architectural vision.
•Documentation and Communication: Create detailed architectural documentation and present solutions to stakeholders. Communicate complex technical concepts in a clear and concise manner.
•Performance and Security: Ensure that solutions meet performance, security, and compliance requirements. Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.
•Innovation and Adoption: Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends. Advocate for the adoption of new technologies and practices that can enhance business outcomes.

What You'll Bring
•Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or extensive, relevant work experience.
•The Open Group Framework TOGAF certification (or similar architectural framework) preferred.
•10+ years of experience in information technologies.
•4+ years proven experience as a Solution Architect or similar role in designing and implementing complex technical solutions.
•5+ years of work experience in healthcare or other highly regulated industry is preferred.
•Exposure to multiple, diverse technologies, platforms, and processing environments.
•Experience developing architectural diagrams, strategies, and roadmaps.
•Experience presenting to senior-level executives and technical audiences.
•Skilled at influencing & guiding project stakeholders in key decisions related to solution selection, components, and approach.
•Excellent analytical, planning, organizational, and technical skills.
•Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, and interpersonal) including effective presentation and training to all levels of the organization. Able to clearly and effectively communicate in business terms.
•Proficient with office productivity, modeling, analysis and communication tools (e.g., Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams, Visio, etc.).
•Ability to work cooperatively with all levels of staff from individual contributors to the executive team, as well as key 3rd party consultants, technology vendors, or service providers.
•Skilled in adapting to change in a maturing organization where processes, practices, and policies are being continually refined.
•Able to contribute to the ongoing growth and development of the Architecture function at Premise.
•Strong understanding of multiple technical domains, including cloud computing, networking, security, and software development. Good understanding of product management, agile principles and development methodologies and capability of supporting agile teams by providing guidance on opportunities, impact, and risks, taking account of technical and architectural debt.
•Understanding of the IT Service Management (ITSM) approach to IT operations and the Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) framework for service delivery and how these concepts drive and influence solution design and selection.
•Knowledge of various database technologies.
•Ability to translate future-state business capabilities and requirements into solution architecture requirements.
•Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically. Ability to work creatively and analytically to solve business problems and propose solutions.
•Familiarity with industry best practices and standards in solution architecture.

Premise provides its reasonable and genuinely expected range of compensation for this job of $85,000.00 - $132,000.00 annually. A number of factors will influence the rate offered for this position, including your experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other factors.
For individuals living in Washington or Colorado: Premise offers the following paid time off benefits. Employees will earn 0.0692 hours of paid time off per actual hours worked or based on standard schedule, per pay period, and will receive 10 paid holidays or an equivalent bank of hours aligned to schedule throughout the calendar year. Paid sick leave is satisfied by the paid time off accrual, detailed above.
