About the role: The Director of Operations Solutions and Services assesses the effects of organizational changes and oversees the mapping of new, improved, and more efficient processes. This role applies empirical and quantitative methods to understand and improve the overall effectiveness of enterprise-wide operational programming. The Director of OSS (Operations Solutions and Services) consults, designs, executes, and evaluates effectiveness of operational products and programs but also communicates findings and recommendations to improve operations through cycles of learning and performance.


Essential Functions:

  • Streamlines operational programming to drive efficiency, foster innovation, and optimize the use of departments and resources
  • Defines and maps assigned workflows and processes; identifies decision points and gaps and makes recommendations on improvement
  • Creates a culture of continuous improvement across departments ensuring effective workflows and resources are aligned
  • Analyzes operational workflows for opportunities to increase efficiencies and systematic optimizations
  • Monitors operational KPIs (key performance indicators), dashboards, and reports; identifies baseline problems and opportunities
  • Defines objectives, requirements, and plans with internal and external stakeholders and leads cross-functional data gathering and decision making
  • Supports departmental implementation and/or operationalization of new products, strategies and growth initiatives
  • Supports the Operations and Clinical Application teams when implementing workflow, process, and governance changes
  • Leads, motivates, trains and inspires effective medical and people/performance management in a virtual environment
  • May require other duties as assigned


Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred or equivalent work experience
  • 10+ years of experience in health care operations, clinical operations, or other relevant work experience
  • Experience with operations and/or clinical workflow process improvement
  • Experience with implementing new product and strategies across a decentralized organization
  • Experience using project management methodologies to design and/or execute business process optimization projects is a plus


Preferred Experience:

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (e.g. Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Identifying complex problems and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions
  • Ability to develop specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize, and accomplish work
  • Ability to manage one's own time and the time of others
  • Ability to present complex ideas in a clear, concise fashion to technical and non-technical audiences
  • Providing information to supervisors, co-workers, and subordinates by telephone, in written form, e-mail, or in person
  • Analyzing information and evaluating results to choose the best solution and solve problems
  • Developing constructive and cooperative working relationships with others and maintaining them over time

For individuals living in California, Colorado, Illinois, Minnesota, New Jersey, Washington; as well as, for individuals living in or reporting to New York State only, Premise Health is required to include an estimate of the salary and benefits for this role. While a number of factors influence salary, our estimated California, Colorado, Illinois, Minnesota, New Jersey, Washington and New York State compensation is $105,000 - $129,000 with eligible bonus opportunity. Please note, this is a general guideline and your experience qualifications, geographic location, and other factors will be taken into consideration.
