About the role: The Provider Training Specialist is responsible for the implementation of the end-user provider training program for new and replacement providers, as well as assisting with ongoing education and support of existing field providers. This work is done in collaboration with the Provider Training Manager, other Provider Training Specialists, members of the Clinical Applications Training and CAD Instructional Design teams, with input from Medical Operations leadership and the Medical Informatics Advisory Board.
Essential Functions:
- Executing the provider training program as part of new provider onboarding
- Serving as a principal provider trainer for new-hire providers at existing sites as well as those at new implementations
- Troubleshooting issues that arise in the training environment and offering support to minimize impact on content delivery
- Managing ServiceNow tickets related to provider training requests, as well as tickets related to provider training and provider support following virtual or live training
- Following established procedures for tracking provider training in Excel and ServiceNow
- Monitoring the Provider Training Team channel on Teams and responding to provider questions in a timely manner
- Participating in ongoing provider training initiatives including Weekly Epic Efficiency Tips, Epic Provider Power-up, Crushing Care Gaps, and quarterly Epic upgrade training
- Contributing to curriculum development in conjunction with the Provider Training Manager and other Provider Training Specialists
- Collaborating with Medical Operations leadership and operations managers to identify providers needing post-training support
- Working with PH Provider Super Users to enhance field provider engagement during and after initial Epic go-live and subsequent Epic upgrades
- Participating in ongoing quality improvement efforts alongside the Provider Training Manager
Job Requirements:
- NP or PA
- 3+ years of related experience
- Experience with Premise Health’s instance of Epic strongly preferred
Preferred Experience:
- Experience with adult education and curriculum delivery
- Strong organizational and coordination skills; ability to sequence activities logically
- Keen attention to detail
- Interpersonal skills to function well in both operational and patient care environments
- Proficiency in time management to develop and adhere to schedules in order to meet training and/or project deadlines
- Skilled at collaborating with other Epic training teams to ensure field care teams understand and utilize preferred Epic workflows
- Ability to quickly adapt when unforeseen training barriers arise such as technology failures or trainees with low digital literacy
- Knowledge of and the ability to use PC-based word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software to maintain training records and effectively deliver training content
- Willingness to learn new PC-based applications and programs used for tracking training and support requests and the creation and delivery of training content
- Excellent knowledge of English grammar and spelling for use in both verbal and written communication
- Ability to work effectively with PH team members that have a wide range of seniority

While a number of factors influence salary, our estimated California, Colorado, Illinois, Washington, and New York compensation is $113,000 - $122,500.
