The Director of Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) is a key leadership role responsible for providing strategic direction, leadership, execution, and oversight of all RCM services across the organization. This role ensures alignment between revenue cycle operations and field execution to drive optimal client outcomes, operational efficiency, and compliance. The Director serves as a key advisor and change agent, promoting scalable best practices and continuous improvement across the organization and is committed to delivering exceptional client and member experiences. 


The Director will collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement policies, evaluate procedures, and optimize departmental performance. This role is instrumental in driving operational excellence, fostering team development, and influencing scalable solutions across health center operations. 


This is a full time, remote Revenue Cycle Management Director role.


What You'll Do

Lead and manage end-to-end RCM processes including setup, billing methodology, payer strategy, reporting, and AR follow-up.

Align RCM operations with client goals and organizational strategies to enhance performance and satisfaction.

Lead and recommend strategic, scalable, data-driven RCM solutions to optimize client and member outcomes.

Serve as a strategic liaison with Medical, Legal, and Compliance teams regarding billing regulations and third-party payer requirements.

Define and monitor Revenue Cycle KPIs to assess performance, identify risks, and drive improvements.

Collaborate cross-functionally with Operations, IT, Finance, Compliance, and external vendors to resolve challenges and streamline processes.

Standardize and centralize RCM workflows to support scalability and efficiency.

Support business growth and retention through a focus on client and team member satisfaction.

Responsible for managing the RCM vendor relationship.

Oversee hiring, onboarding, and development of RCM team members in partnership with senior leadership.

Evaluate staffing models and recommend enhancements to senior leadership.

Foster a culture of accountability, professionalism, and continuous learning.

Provide coaching, feedback, and performance evaluations to support individual and team growth.

Serve as a strategic partner to operations leadership and clients, understanding their business priorities and tailoring RCM services accordingly.

Represent RCM in client and payer meetings, task forces, and strategic initiatives.

Promote adoption of best practices to improve RCM outcomes and operational sustainability for optimal client and member experience.


What You'll Bring

Bachelor’s degree in business, Healthcare Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience).

10+ years in Revenue Cycle Management, with 3+ years in a leadership role.

Experience with EPIC and physician primary care revenue cycle models preferred.

Visionary thinking: ability to align RCM initiatives with broader organizational goals.

Strong analytical, strategic planning, and project management capabilities.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills across all organizational levels.

Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and lead change initiatives.

Deep understanding of RCM KPIs, systems, and compliance requirements.

Influence & collaboration: Building trust and leading cross-functional initiatives.

Makes informed decisions quickly and confidently, especially in high-impact situations.

Navigates change effectively and leads teams through transformation.

Premise provides its reasonable and genuinely expected range of compensation for this job of $90,000.00 - $100,000.00 annually. A number of factors will influence the rate offered for this position, including your experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other factors. This position is eligible for an Annual Performance Incentive that is a percentage of base salary and awarded based upon individual annual evaluation and company financial performance.


For individuals living in Washington or Colorado: Premise offers the following paid time off benefits. Employees will be included in the company's Open Time Off plan and will receive 10 paid holidays or an equivalent bank of hours aligned to schedule throughout the calendar year. Paid sick leave is satisfied by the paid time off accrual, detailed above.
