The Manager of Security Operations Center leads the Security Operations Center (SOC) Tier 1 and 2 analysts, overseas the SOC engineering and architecture team, and managed Incident Response team. In addition to team management, they are responsible for ensuring the SOC program meets the regulatory and compliance frameworks Premise Health aligns too. The creation and support of documentation and management of several key tools for our SOC environment are under purview of the Manager of the Security Operations Center.
This is a Full Time, remote, Security Operations Manager role.
What You'll Do
• Collaborates with all levels of the organization to ensure that logging and monitoring technologies and operations meet identified business, compliance, and security needs.
• Directly manages SOC analysts, both internal employee(s) and outsourced MSSP staff.
• Directly supervises employees and carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
• Lead the SOC analysts to ensure proper alerting, monitoring and incident response actions are documented and followed.
• Work with Security Engineering, SOAR and IR teams to deliver, configure, and maintain alerting, SIEM, SOAR, and IR solutions.
• Duties include after-hours support and response to IR incidents.
• Ensure network security systems meet enterprise security policies.
• Provide technical and procedural direction to the SOC/IR teams.
• Provide technical and procedural direction to the company for the implementation of compliance framework requirements in supported areas of responsibility.
• Provide direction in complex problem-solving situations and participate in direct interaction with internal staff as required.
• Identify process improvement opportunities.
• Act as liaison for internal and external communications directly with departments as required.
• Provide regular status reports.
• Support the design, implementation, and maintenance of IR plans as directed by the IR team and/or Director of Security Assurance and Operations.
• Lead team members through IR events and consult with senior leadership on direction during an event, as a subject matter expert.
• Ensure timely and effective delivery of software upgrades to the SIEM platform.
• Works with consultants to ensure that the SIEM and IR platforms provides sufficient resources to deliver the desired level of business performance.
• Coordinates third-party maintenance for SIEM and IR platforms.
• Develops or establishes strong relationships with various industry organizations Premise Health security has aligned with.
• Drives initiatives to reduce manual effort through automation and process improvement.
What You'll Bring
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience
• CISSP, GCIH, GMON, or related certifications.
• Minimum of 7+ years of progressive experience.
• Experience in reporting and emergency response planning
• Excellent knowledge of security protocols and procedures
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Outstanding organizational and leadership skills
• Committed and reliable
• General knowledge of Security best practices as the relate to the follow technologies:
- Logging and Monitoring
- Incident Response
- Networking
- Other general security operation tooling
• Knowledge of HIPAA, Hi-Trust, CIS, and/or PCI requirements a plus

Premise provides its reasonable and genuinely expected range of compensation for this job of $100,000.00 - $116,000.00 annually. A number of factors will influence the rate offered for this position, including your experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other factors. This position is eligible for an Annual Performance Incentive that is a percentage of base salary and awarded based upon individual annual evaluation and company financial performance.

Employees will be included in the company's Open Time Off plan and will receive 10 paid holidays or an equivalent bank of hours aligned to schedule throughout the calendar year. Paid sick leave is satisfied by the paid time off accrual, detailed above.
