The Senior Business Analyst (SBA) will act as a Lead, in which he/she will provide oversight for RCM Business Analysts, RCM Analysts, and RCM vendor associates. The SBA will be a subject matter expert in the areas of report development and analysis, quality assurance audits, project management, and process improvement. The SBA will be responsible for reviewing and assessing Revenue Cycle reports, workflows, policies, procedures, and business processes to identify gaps, recommend improvement, & implement change to drive operational efficiencies. The SBA will collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure both reporting and RCM needs are met.
This is a full time, remote Sr. Business Analyst role.
What You'll Do
•Develop and manage the reporting and revenue cycle processes, ensuring productivity, KPI, and QA standards are met
•Analyze data/trends to recommend process/procedure updates to enhance performance to better meet customer requirements, as well as to determine the best use of resources
•Organize data into meaningful reporting and provide executive summaries with recommendations for improvement to Leadership
•Evaluate RCM team performance against predetermined goals and determine root cause of variances and formulates remediation plans for improvement
•Perform and review quality assurance audits of analyst and vendor work
•Conduct research, interpret, evaluate, and develop executive ready analysis materials/documents for incorporation into strategic decision-making and business planning.
•Support and assist teammates in assigned area(s) in identifying and troubleshooting Revenue Cycle or reporting related problems and provide recommendations for resolution
•Analyze reports in order to answer questions from department/practice managers, vendors, physicians, and other Revenue Cycle or Finance & Accounting stakeholders
•Collaborate with leaders across the department and throughout the organization to proactively identify gaps/risks and provide suggested approach for improvement(s) with projected outcomes
•Understand client’s business/operational priorities, including technology and service needs, new service requirements and service utilization
•Lead, research, & assessment efforts related to new lines of service/business and provide executive level summaries of findings with recommendations to aid in profitability and/or client satisfaction
•Other duties as assigned
What You'll Bring
•Bachelor's degree in business, healthcare, finance, computer science or related field required, Master’s Degree preferred
•At least four (4) years of experience working in healthcare, required
•EPIC experience preferred
•At least 2 years work experience in strategic and consultative relationships or managing finance, accounting, or RCM related projects, required
•Experience working with payor/client/external partners, preferred
•Experience analyzing complex issues and/or requests to provide effective solutions with the ability to identify root cause, communicate options and propose profitable solutions, required
•Knowledge of revenue cycle principles and practices, the ability to systematically interpret functional requirements into applications design
•Must be a self-starter, proactive, possess excellent interpersonal and presentation skills
•Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to build successful relationships both internally and externally
•Experience working in a fast-paced environment where multiple duties are performed to meet client expectations and deadlines with limited supervision
•Experience in developing and managing projects and workflow re-engineering
•Strong ability to bridge the gap between multiple departments or levels of expertise to effectively communicate outcomes and solutions in a comprehensive and meaningful manner
•Strong ability to work cross functionally between departments to build relationships and analyze reports or data and present it in a way that is comprehensive to all relevant parties
•Advanced proficiency in MS Office

Premise provides its reasonable and genuinely expected range of compensation for this job of $78,500.00 - $80,000.00 annually. A number of factors will influence the rate offered for this position, including your experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other factors.
For individuals living in Washington or Colorado: Premise offers the following paid time off benefits. Employees will earn 0.0692 hours of paid time off per actual hours worked or based on standard schedule, per pay period, and will receive 10 paid holidays or an equivalent bank of hours aligned to schedule throughout the calendar year. Paid sick leave is satisfied by the paid time off accrual, detailed above.
