The VP, Health Plan Commercialization leads Premise Health’s new primary care-centered health plan offering (“Premise Preferred Health Plan” or “PPHP”) end to end, with ownership of its commercialization, growth, execution, and ongoing evolution. Premise Health is the leading provider of advanced primary care to self-insured employers, operating onsite and nearsite wellness centers and providing 50-state virtual care. PPHP is an innovative alternative health plan solution designed to maximize the impact of primary care and improve health outcomes, reduce healthcare costs, and provide an exceptional member experience. PPHP is a joint offering between Premise and its health plan partners.
Reporting to the Senior Vice President of Strategy & Innovation, this role will build and lead the PPHP commercialization engine, driving growth among large and medium-sized employers through existing client relationships, new business, and broker and consultant channels. This leader will also own the PPHP roadmap, positioning and delivery, using market feedback to shape how the offering evolves, building the health plan business over the long term and ensuring successful operationalization.
This role operates within a highly collaborative and matrixed organization and will drive alignment and decisions across Premise Health’s Strategy, Emerging Markets / Sales, Account Development, Operations, Finance, and Marketing teams, and Premise Health’s TPA / health plan partners. The role also represents PPHP at a senior level with clients, brokers, and consultants.
This is a full time, remote Vice President of Health Plan Commercialization role.
What You'll Do
•Build and lead the commercialization engine for PPHP within Premise Health’s go-to-market model
oOwn the PPHP business plan, growth targets, and success measures, and report progress to executive leadership
oSet and refine the PPHP go-to-market strategy, including target segments, ideal client profiles, and broker and consultant engagement
oBuild a repeatable, scalable commercialization model that drives pipeline generation and conversion
oDefine when and how PPHP is introduced within existing client relationships and new business pursuits to maximize impact
oBuild the team and capabilities needed to scale PPHP as the business grows
•Lead PPHP sales strategy and execution across current and prospective clients and through broker and consultant channels
oIdentify, qualify, deliver pitches for, and close PPHP opportunities within existing clients in partnership with Account Development and Operations
oDeliver near-term growth, with a clear focus on closing new PPHP client wins within the first year
oPartner with enterprise Sales teams to integrate PPHP into new business opportunities and position it alongside core onsite, nearsite, and virtual offerings
oDevelop and manage trusted, senior-level relationships across national and regional consulting and brokerage firms (Willis Towers Watson, Aon, Mercer, Alliant, Lockton, etc.) and ensure PPHP is understood, positioned, and recommended within client decision processes
oServe as the key leader representing PPHP with clients and prospects, developing and delivering insight-driven presentations, materials, and value propositions tailored to employer audiences
oBuild and manage a strong pipeline with clear tracking and reporting
oin internal education and external sales and marketing materials
•Own the successful delivery and ongoing evolution of the PPHP offering, roadmap, and positioning
oOwn the PPHP roadmap, using broker, consultant, and employer feedback to identify gaps, address objections, and set priorities for how the offering evolves
oServe as Premise's senior point of contact with health plan partners, aligning on product, operations, and growth priorities
oDrive alignment, decisions, and successful collaboration across Operations, Account Development, Sales, Finance, and Marketing, including resolving competing priorities
oOwn PPHP positioning and value proposition, and ensure they are effective and represented consistently and accurately in internal education and external sales and marketing materials
oEnsure successful delivery of PPHP for Premise clients, partnering with operations on implementation and ongoing delivery
oGather client feedback to keep improving the offering, and develop case studies that show PPHP results
What You'll Bring
•Bachelor’s Degree required
•15+ years of healthcare experience, including significant experience inside a commercial health plan or TPA across areas such as product, strategy, operations, and commercialization, with a demonstrated track record of success
•Track record of building, launching, and selling new health plan offerings, from concept through market adoption
•Senior leadership experience driving decisions across functions in a complex, matrixed organization
•Deep understanding of employer sponsored healthcare, commercial health plans / TPAs, and the broker / consultant ecosystem
•Existing relationships within the national and regional broker and consultant community (Willis Towers Watson, Aon, Mercer, Alliant, Lockton, etc.)
•Experience at a consulting firm or brokerage, or with a healthcare solution that sells to self-funded employers
•Team-first orientation with growth mindset, comfort and ability to thrive in a fast-moving and ambiguous environment, and strong passion for delivering and building capabilities that disrupt the status quo to improve health outcomes and reduce costs for employers, employees and their families
•Expert knowledge of the employer sponsored healthcare industry, self-insured medical solutions, health plans / TPAs, and benefit plan design
•Demonstrated success winning new business and growing client relationships
•Executive presence and credibility with senior client, consultant, and partner leaders
•Proven ability to align cross-functional teams, resolve competing priorities, and drive decisions
•Strong business acumen and accountability for business results, including ROI, budget, margins, and growth targets
•Excellent verbal and written communication, presentation, facilitation, and negotiation skills
•Strong strategic and analytical thinking, with the ability to turn market insight into product and go-to-market decisions

Premise provides its reasonable and genuinely expected range of compensation for this job of $140,000.00 - $265,000.00 annually. A number of factors will influence the rate offered for this position, including your experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other factors. This position is eligible for an Annual Performance Incentive that is a percentage of base salary and awarded based upon individual annual evaluation and company financial performance.
For individuals living in Washington or Colorado: Premise offers the following paid time off benefits. Employees will be included in the company's Open Time Off plan and will receive 10 paid holidays or an equivalent bank of hours aligned to schedule throughout the calendar year. Paid sick leave is satisfied by the paid time off accrual, detailed above.
