- 40 Hours Per Week. Must be Open to Work Weekends

Essential Functions:
- Practice a Lifestyle-Medicine approach to movement and physical activity, with a focus on patient centered, goal-oriented programming.
- Work with an integrative healthcare team to ensure comprehensive care for all patients.
- Assess a patient's medical history to help address various high-risk health conditions or needs.
- Conduct appropriate fitness assessments, taking into consideration a patient’s needs and capabilities.
- Monitor patient Stage of Change, vital signs and body-composition.
- Develop and distribute individualized exercise prescriptions and programs.
- Educate patients on relevant physical activity topics.
- Teach safe exercise techniques to a variety of special populations.
- Execute, describe and effectively coach implemented educational presentations, group training exercises, and posture circuit components.
- Evaluate individual’s physical abilities using Physical Performance Testing and musculoskeletal assessments.
- Provide corrective coaching during follow-ups, group training, video analysis, and physical performance testing.
- Collaborate on a daily and weekly basis with program staff, nurses, physicians, and client liaisons regarding team members and safety issues.
- Work with management, clients, and third-party companies to develop special projects and research opportunities.
- May require other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in exercise science or a closely related field is required (Master’s degree preferred)
- Personal Training certification from nationally recognized, accredited organization (e.g., ACSM, NASM, NSCA etc.) is preferred
- Current certification in CPR/AED (hands on program required) and First Aid required
- Group Exercise Primary certification from nationally recognized organization (e.g., AFFA, ACE, IDEA) is preferred
- Advanced fitness certification(s) (Special Populations, FMS, Exercise is Medicine, Corrective Specialist, etc.) preferred.
- Nationally recognized coaching certification in Lifestyle Medicine and/or Wellcoaches (e.g., ACLM, NBHWC, etc.) is preferred.
Preferred Experience:
- 3+ years of fitness industry experience
- 1+ years of medical fitness experience preferred
- Experience developing exercise prescriptions for high risk, special populations and PT step-down clientele preferred
