As a Full Time Wellness Coach Supervisor, you'll provide care to our clients employees and their dependents at Cummins Engine in our Health Center located in Columbus, IN

Schedule:

  • 40 Hours Per Week
  • Mon - Fri 8-hour shifts between 7:00 am - 6:00 pm


ABOUT THIS ROLE:
In addition to overseeing Wellness Coaches, the Wellness Coach Supervisor works with members one-on-one or in small groups to assist in meeting health and wellness goals related to weight, nutrition, physical activity, stress, tobacco cessation, sleep, work/life balance and general health. May coordinate and promote onsite wellness programs for the client’s employee population in a single contract.

What You'll Do

  • Provides direct assistance in setting health and wellness goals through one on one, and/or group sessions or interactions
  • Creates documentation using electronic systems (i.e., EMR, charting or other specified program etc.) for each interaction and ensures appropriate use of electronic systems (i.e., EMR, charting etc.) by the wellness coaches
  • May assist with the collection of biometric data such as height, weight, and demographic data, consent forms, etc. as related to measurement of progress towards member goals
  • May coordinate and conduct wellness programs in areas such as nutrition, stress management, weight management, tobacco cessation, physical activity and others
  • May provide content expertise to the creation of programs
  • Coaches effectively in all modalities; face to face, group and phone interactions
  • Promotes a culture of health and wellness through ongoing participation in client worksite meetings and projects, task forces, client-directed outreach, and committees
  • Represents the health center, as appropriate, in scheduled or ad hoc employer meetings regarding wellness coaching or strategic initiatives
  • Collaborates with Wellness Coaches to coordinate participation in health center activities (i.e. health and wellness events or presentations etc.) and facilitates internal partnerships with client vendors
  • Promotes wellness coaching programs, events, and initiatives
  • Participates and contributes to wellness committees, calibration and/or business discussions via regular conference calls
  • Conducts regular staff meeting
  • Attends regional or industry sector meetings or conferences
  • Assesses and maintains reports and conducts ongoing evaluation of the effectiveness of the wellness coaching program and the performance of the staff
  • Approves and monitors supplies and equipment within an approved budget
  • Provides mentoring and development of Wellness Coaches as required
  • Monitors credentialing compliance of Wellness Coaches
  • Participates in specific project work and other assigned duties
  • Addresses employee/client concerns and resolves problems as needed
  • Supervises 2 or more employees in multi-state or multi-site health centers
  • Responsible for interviewing, hiring, orienting, and training new Wellness Coaches
  • Directs and assigns work and monitors performance; evaluates, rewards, and disciplines in accordance with applicable laws and organization’s policies
  • May require other duties as assigned


What You'll Bring

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a health-related field preferred, or equivalent experience.
  • Certified by a National Board Certified Health and Wellness Coach (NBC-HWC) approved program or ability to complete an approved certification within 18 months of hire (Wellcoaches preferred).
  • Additional certifications in wellness/fitness specialties are desirable (preferred)
  • Masters in a health-related field or equivalent experience (preferred)


Experience:

  • Five or more years of experience working as a coach in a professional setting
  • Prior management experience preferred
  • Experience in health promotion or work site wellness and public speaking preferred
