As a Full Time Audiology Technician, you'll provide care to client employees in our Health Center located in Fort Worth, TX.
Position Highlights:
- Ideal for candidates with strong knowledge of hearing conservation
- Seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented candidate
- Schedule is Monday - Friday, 6:00a - 3:00p. Flexible schedule required to support 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts based on operational needs.
- Willingness to travel, including out-of-state travel, to support health centers and program initiatives.
What You’ll Do
- Perform audiometric testing on all employees enrolled in the hearing conservation program
- Record all test results
- Review all audiograms and select abnormal/problem audiograms for review by physician or audiologist
- Notify employees of a standard threshold shift according to the OSHA Regulations
- Retest employees with temporary or standard threshold shifts and schedule within OSHA requirements for retesting
- Perform an otoscopic exam on every employee prior to every audiogram
- Refer to the appropriate sources for further testing or medical treatment
- Coordinate annual maintenance and calibration of the audiometers and testing booths
- Perform daily audiometric calibrations and equipment checks and record appropriately
- Provide education, training and counseling regarding hearing conservation within the scope of the COHC Tech to employees
- Assist in the selection and fitting of hearing protection devices
- Be knowledgeable of all Premise policies and procedures related to the Hearing Conservation Program
What You’ll Bring
- Council for Accreditation in Occupational Hearing Conservation (CAOHC) certification required
- 2-3 years experience as a Hearing Conservationist in an occupational health setting
