Ergonomics Supervisor
Requisition Number: 35820 Job Location: Gaithersburg, MarylandWe are seeking a highly skilled and certified Ergonomist Supervisor, specializing in industrial ergonomics. The ideal candidate will bring proven expertise in development, implementation and evaluation of ergonomic programs, as well as identifying and mitigating ergonomic risks. This position will require travel 25% of the time.
- Direct supervision for 2-10 Ergonomic Specialists
- Responsible for following appropriate processes for staff management including staff development and performance management.
- Responsible for assisting with interviewing, training, and onboarding of new colleagues.
- Assist Premise team and HCM or MSK Manager in implementation of strategic program and marketing plans.
- Assist the HCM or MSK Manager with monthly reporting statistics.
- Partner with Premise Health Teams and related departments to provide optimal performance of the site to meet the needs and satisfaction of client.
- Identify and assess ergonomic hazards in the workplace.
- Work in an embedded client environment.
- Produce technical reports using a standard documentation procedure in a proficient and timely manner.
- Instruct and/or facilitate training as required.
- Complete data collection and detailed analysis.
- Advise on the organization of production lines and workstations.
- Assemble solution for both short and long-term risk reduction.
- Manage multiple projects concurrently.
- Professionally and effectively interact with diverse clientele.
- Promote safe, healthy, and inspired workplace environments.
- May require other duties as assigned.
- Degree is Health Sciences (Kinesiology, Human Kinetics, Exercise Science, or Biomechanics, or Physical Engineering) required, preferably with an ergonomic focus
- Advanced Certification in Ergonomics from recognized program (CPE, AEP, CEAS II/III, CIEE, COEE, AOEAS) must be obtained within 12 months of hire
