Paramedic

What You’ll Do
- Assesses nature and extent of illness or injury to establish and prioritize medical procedures to be followed or need for additional assistance
- Administers initial treatment at emergency scene and takes and records patient's vital signs
- Initiates intravenous fluids for hydration and to administer medication.
- Administers medications and drugs as appropriate for protocols and lifesaving measures
- Communicates with physician and other medical personnel in person and by radio-telephone
- Keeps current on treatment techniques, protocol changes, material, and equipment
- Prepares required reports and maintains records of activities
- Cleans assigned emergency vehicle, conducts safety inspections, requisitions and restocks supplies, material, and equipment
- Maintains patient health records to ensure accurate and up-to-date records
- Other duties as assigned
What You’ll Bring
- Associate degree (A. A.) or equivalent from an accredited Paramedic training program
- Current Paramedic Certification as defined within the state in which work will be performed.
- Current ACLS certification
